ÜBERBRAIN
I am a swiss-canadian painter and drawer. My urban inspiration is based on the criticism of the post-industrialized society as an obstacle to nomadism, a determining aspect of human nature. Travelling and social sterilization are recurring subjects in my work, this last being a constant friction between brutal opposition and a poetic existentialism. My ideology comes from writers such as Jack Kerouac and Hugo Pratt, and streams such as Rough Art, Urban Art, and the « Actionnistes Viennois ». I instinctively use acrylic, ink, charcoal, paint spray, patchworks and stencil by willingly allowing imperfections. Live painting, a nomad act in itself, is very important for me, because as well as travelling, the performance turns into a spiritual ritual to promote simplicity, open-mindedness, self-questioning, and search of the unknown…
